La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant

"La Parrilla #1 is my go-to spot in San Antonio for an affordable, satisfying meal with generous portions and quick service. I’m not sure how many locations they have, but this one is close to my house and has become a regular stop for me. I always enjoy a cold horchata while I’m eating, never to-go, and it pairs perfectly with the food. Tuesdays are my favorite day to come by for the street taco plate, which is always loaded with flavor and a great value. La Parrilla #1 just gets it right every time."

"Went for my mom's birthday dinner this evening with the wife, and everything from the greeting coming through the door to the food and beverages was absolutely amazing! We usually go to a different taqueria on Tezel but wanted to try this place because they serve alcohol and it did not disappoint - highly recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area. Salsa 10/10, Fresh Tortillas 10/10"

"Always can count on a good meal here. My #17 Soft chicken taco plate was very good and the guac was perfect(wish they brought tostada chips with the meal). I was pleasantly surprised that although the restaurant was full on a Sun at noon, it wasn’t too noisy and the service was quick and very friendly."

"I got the pancake platter (no egg) and some barbacoa- overall really good, barbacoa not supper greasy which many restaurants lack on. Pancakes were good, the second one under it was a little burnt. The pancakes on taste overall was good for what it is, they were spongy but a bit dry even with butter. The service/server was super nice, and tried her best to make this the best restaurant experience for us. We also got the dipping cheese- sadly was really watery but was still good! Main thing: Food really good- just dipping cheese really watery and pancakes lacked a bit"

"Food was pretty good. One of the better Mexican food choices in San Antonio. Just need a little more flavor, not bad but just not "we gotta hurry & go again". But we will definitely go again. Our waitress was awesome & she recommended us food which we ordered. Prices are decent."

"This was some of the best Mexican I’ve had since El Paso. Got the Jalisco special burrito with Carne Asada and it was all just so good. The meat was super flavorful and well cooked, refried beans were awesome, their green sauce was really good, and the waitress was very nice. The horchata was bomb too."
